ESPN+

Probably will cut the cable this year. However, I've been largely frustrated by most of the online streaming services that I've used. CyclonesTV is great, when I want to watch a Chevy Truck commercial. After that, not so much. ESPN+ has been a total pain today.

Frustrated how? I'm only asking because I haven't really had any issues and I haven't had traditional cable in probably 5 years.

Don't spend near that much, but have one of the higher packs. My thing is you have to have those packs to get certain channels. I also like the permanent DVR and my internet sucks so I can struggle to stream sports.

Ok that makes sense. Not being able to have solid internet is an issue, as far as the DVR situation, Youtube TV has that available on the cloud, which has been awesome.

CyclonesTV buffers badly (for most things other than the Chevy commercial at the start). Seems worst when I'm traveling and really need it. ESPN won't let me log in on 3 devices. Keeps requiring me to subscribe, despite us having 2 ESPN+ subscriptions. Somehow it works on my i-Phone only. Yet, even then, if I go fullscreen, it is black. The only way I could see anything was to open another app so that the ESPN+ screen was in the corner.

Thankfully CyclonesTV is basically obsolete now thanks to ESPN+. And to be fair, your ESPN issue seems like a user error problem instead of a streaming platform problem.

If I can't solve the "user error," it becomes a "them" problem. Didn't have user errors with cable! I watch games on all sorts of streaming services. Yesterday CBS Sports Net was buffering and pixelating. Cable was fine. I have plenty of bandwidth (100 down) and new modem/router (though I suspect that may be where the problem is).

Buffering/Pixelating isn't usually a streaming services issue and you are probably right that the problem is something with your equipment. Also ESPN+/CBS Sports/any other live streaming video service wouldn't be able to survive if this was a major issue across the board. Have you called ESPN to try to figure out the problem? My guess it is something super simple that you maybe overlooked and you could be happily enjoying the low cost option some of us have been enjoying for years.

I understand why the television rights are on ESPN+, I don't understand why I can't listen to the pre game and post game audio on clyclones.com. I can for football.

I live in Florida and I go to 100.3 the bus and I get music and not the game.

Did anyone figure out how to get the radio feed outside of the Cyclone Radio Network?

Sorry if this has already been asked and answered.

Tunein Radio

Ive had YouTubeTV for awhile now and never have issues with buffering/quality. Although, I do have 1 GB internet speed. So I’m sure that plays a part.

Our public utility provides our electricity, water, internet, and cable. We have fiber optic to 4 TV's, HBO, 80MB service for $205 a month, $155 cable, $50 internet.

Run ESPN+ and/or Cyclone.TV through a ROKU, perfection.

If you have an original Fire TV stick you’re going to have problems with ESPN+. The app much better on the newer Fire sticks and Apple TV.

Go monthly. With all the cancellations that's going to happen, I don't see too many conference games getting pushed to ESPN+.

But is it too early to start complaining about the Texas game being on LHN? Every time we're on that damn channel I'm reminded just how much I hate the Texas administration.
THE PROBLEM WITH THE BIG TWELEVE IS ITS TEXAS AND THE ELEVEN DWARFS AT FINANCIALLY.....and then people wonder why Nebraska said adios to the crooked big 12......

Welcome to High Tech... With all the problems you guys are encountering ...I will just listen to it on the radio.....

With ESPN+ (vs. cyclone.tv) will we be able to see the live bb games (and I'm assuming still Walters and Heft on p by p?) all/most of the time vs. delayed a few days later? I could see that as a big deal in good way.

A 2* question: Does ESPN+ cover ISU football too? The reason I ask is cyclone/tv still covers football, atleast this year so far.

And yes, I will do the CyFanatic link here if/when I go espsn+.

The one football game per year that used to be on Cyclones.tv will move to ESPN+ next year.

The ESPN+ broadcasts are much higher quality and have dedicated announce teams. Walters/Heft will not be the audio on ESPN+.

No, ESPN+ will not give you access to the games broadcast on ABC/ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU.

No, it's not the radio call. The game yesterday Blum did PxP and former player Klay Edwards did color commentary.

I'm not sure what happens with the one home football game that used to be on Cyclones.TV. This year it didn't come into play. But again if the game is on their broadcast networks it will not be on ESPN+

Roger that. Thx!

So yes, if others (other than espn+) have the rights to the game, and if you have espn+ you will still have to wait a few days to see the replay? Is that right? But you get the live audio feed right? From Blum?
