Maybe someone already posted this but for everyone who had been disappointed with CPR and the staff getting commits that weren't rated ESPN has now rated 9 of them 3 stars so enjoy that.

I think a lot of people were concerned that a lot of guys that signed didn't have BCS level offers. I have trust in the system we've got.

So I wasn't crazy when I said to calm down they just weren't rated yet? I still personally believe our staff has a better feel fir what they need in players than some website where their "scouts" more than likely wouldn't cut it on an actual team.

I was never too concerned about stars and ratings, even if they didn't upgrade them. CPR knows what he's doing and getting players that fit his system

And considering the fact that everyone always used to say that committing to ISU dropped you a star that means we have 9 4-star players committed already. possibly the best class in ISU history shaping up.

Would love to see us creep up to the #6 or #5 spot in the Big 12 recruiting rankings someday. And before anyone jumps in, yeah I know, its Iowa, cold, tough to recuit, blah blah blah. Just saying - if we want to actually string some 6 and 7, maybe even 8 win seasons together, talent has to improve dramatically.

We just need to win. To put together a few 8 to 9 win seasons and I think some heads will turn regardless of the weather in Ames, IA.

Its the chicken or egg debate. You don't put together 8 and 9 win seasons with marginal talent. But you can't get great talent without winning 8 to 9 games (unless your a blue blood). We should be content with 6 wins and bowl trips after the end of the mccarney and entire chizik tenure but idk, I want more.

Bull. Look at K-State. They recruit on par with us but ended up number 2 in the Big 12 last year. We can win in the Big 12 with our quality of recruits, we just need greater consistency in our game. We need to limit our turnovers and penalties and we will compete week in and week out.

Apples to Oranges. KSU had big time JUCO recruits come in and make a big impact. They also have a coach with over 150 wins and a career win % around 65%. Completely different IMO. They also are coming off back to back bowls - after having 6 straight losing seasons. Hardly the model of consistency.
