Didn't see this anywhere else, but it might have been posted before.

Good attitude. Hopefully he sticks with it. Could be a very valuable member of the team next year.
 
Leave it to the NCAA to allow players that got paid to only miss a few games, but players who made a stupid mistake that many people make sit out a full year.

I'm looking at you kansas.
 
Kansas had a player a few years ago that took $6,000 and they suspended him 6 games. Then the kid this year took money and only has to set out a few games. THe NCAA is great if your a big sports player.
 
I would love to see enough schools break away from the NCAA to have a viable alternative, but I doubt it would ever happen. The whole system is corrupt.
 
That quote sounds like he has probably matured quite a bit. If he really believes what he said, he'll be here in 2011-12 and ready to lead.

So maybe he should have transferred last year and sat out last year. But he didn't transfer until this year. He now has to sit out this year. I don't get all the ********...

"I don't get all the ********..." says it all.... How many other "violations" have other schools had but yet they got to play. I am a little confused with the word "Violation" I dont understand how this would be a "violation".

Exactly, I don't see how this is a 'violation.' I thought it was due to him transferring, that he had to sit out a year. Like most all transfers.
 
I don't think it's so much an unfair treatment of Royce as it is how the NCAA handles guys like Selby, etc.

The amount of time it took to get a ruling on Royce was ludicrous as well.
 
It wasn't any "violation", ISU was trying to get the year he has to sit out because he transferred waived since he never played a game at Minnesota

This is right on. As much as I hate bringing up the name, Lucca saw less (much less) money than Selby, yet Selby is playing this year (albeit late). Lucca lost an entire year.
 
Yeah it doesn't matter if he never played there. He signed, then transferred. Had he not been suspended and transferred before the season even began, I'm sure he would still have had to sit out a year.
