ESPN+ ISU BB Game Schedule

The ESPN+ victims start Saturday. #5 KU vs #20 West Virginia is one of them. As ive said before and others have said also, this cant help B12 exposure and people that are not b12 fans wont really be tuning in because its not on the tv guide when looking for games

There are a lot of your B1G games that many fans all over the country won't be tuning into this year because they don't care.

If you look at other sources outside the gazette, you might see that B1G coverage doesn't take up the whole internet.

My B1G? I not once mentioned the B1G. This has nothing to do with that. It is one of the dumbest things ive seen in awhile to put big time b12 games on a streaming channel. Find a way to have these games on regular channels like espn, espn2, espnu, fox sports or even cbs sportsnetwork. Something that I can watch them with out needing to log in online or on a app on a streaming device. This is going to come back and bite them

People seek out the games they want to watch. The casual viewer happening upon a game is a myth.

Streaming is the future as cable companies figure out that the current sports model is broken.

Also, ESPN+ could not possibly be more user friendly.

********! I have Mediacom internet here in Ames and tried to watch the K-State-Tulsa game last night. I tried using 3 different browsers on my computer. My computer totally froze up 3 different times in the 2nd half alone.

K-State and ESPN+ are aware and currently working on the problem. The have my connection and computer specs and have not been able to figure out the problem. In the meantime, ESPN+ is nothing but a hot, steaming pile of stink.

ESPN holds the rights and can place where they want - they are trying to build their streaming platform so assigned some big games there. Should the B12 maybe negotiated the right to determine if they could be put on a streaming platorm?? I do not know the answer but this is similar to the push back when the NCAA Tournament was put on the Turner Cable Channels and the Championship on cable only. Also on the launch of the ACC Network - Clemson's first conference game was on there to try to drive subscriptions.

I also think the B12 has a financial stake in the streaming platform with the launch of B12Now - which is located on ESPN+

LOL. He got rid of his avatar and is now blatantly trying to confuse people.

Still haven't figured out why this is allowed....

Yeah at first had to double check to make sure you didn't think I was quoting you.

Dude needs to go.

Found your problem.

Seriously though I would put money on the internet connection being your problem. I had some strange problems with Mediacom where you would have decent internet and speed but it would drop out briefly all the time. I think they have older lines in areas and especially when it gets wet the internet starts having problems.

Back on topic, I was planning on just skipping ESPN+ this year. Most of the games are one month and now CF has a sign up commission. Is there a one month option? Still think the was horribly managed by the Big XII but what else is new.

$4.99 per month, cancel anytime.

It really is a good service.

ESPN did a similar thing with the SEC network launch. The first year they put big games on there to get cable network to sign up. After the first year, they went back to normal with putting lesser games on there. Here's to hoping the plan of big games on ESPN+ is a short term thing.

If you are streaming a game on ESPN + and want to check on other games during commercials can you do that easily? Or do you have to exit the app and go to your regular tv platform?

Depends on what network is broadcasting the other game. If it's on an ESPN network, you can stay in the ESPN app and just select that game.
