Entrance Video Change?

I feel like this would be a good song with some editing. They played it at football games and they've played it at basketball games. It's a good pump up song. It's me pumped at least!

I'm still a fan of the "Let it Rock" video they had 2 years ago. I thought the video they had been using before today was just fine, then they change it up AGAIN with some crap that was too long and was awkward.

PICK SOMETHING AND STICK WITH IT!!! It has to be upbeat and not too long, can't be too serious like the little kid one was last year either.

I know, another entrance video thread, but why, why did they change the video already? I dont know what the song was but good lord. Hilton went completely silent and everyone stood there awkwardly.
For those of you who weren't there, the video started normal, but then in the middle they showed some highlights from the first 7 games so far in the year and changed the song to some rap raggae crap.

The video and music was fine the way it was, why change it to complete crap?:mad:

The song was perfect to be played with this years highlights, the only thing I would change would be to have the song played louder

The video was SOOOOOOOOOO much better. Loved the song. I think it was pretty cool.

I just have no idea why the dont play it before the team comes running out of the lockerroom like they do in football. These videos have NO place being played right before the game. But would be super sweet played right before the game. No video right before tip.

I guess knowing people who went to ISU, maybe Dave Matthews or 311 would be a more popular choice LOL

Agree - if you have to teach people how to clap to a song it's not the right song.

i guess we have become 100000% lame if you have to clap to jock jams type songs before the game to get hype. I love the fact they are marketing to a younger crowd, players, football recruts etc.

I too agree that the song/video montage was one of the better that we have had in a while. It may have been slightly longer than it needed to be though. I'll echo other posters on here that have said the players appreciate that type of music waaaaay more than Jock Jams IMO.

Exactly! Examples of great stadium music choices. Ignite the players. The fans will notice. You dont have to like the music as well.

Iowa State has time to kill between intros and tip off for media purposes, hence the video. I think you have 3 minutes?? there to kill for lineups.

At least they didn't stop the video half way through, followed by 30 seconds of silence, followed by restarting the video, like earlier in the year. Honestly, whoever runs that thing has been screwing it up all season long. They even messed up "Rubberboy's" music!!

It's not a good change. Total mood killer. Same for the WBB video.

I loved the original video... absolutely loved it... and then they messed with it!! I'd be a fan of keeping the original video for years to come.

Agreed. Although I did kind of like "The Pretender" by the foo Fighters. Too bad they only used that for the first couple games last year. Either way, "Let it Rock" was by far the best.

Foo Fighters? I hear thats pretty popular on the AAU basketball circut. Maybe top it off with some Ozzie or Dave Matthews Band?

They should play this song. I feel like it would get everyone pumped up

6 minutes from the countdown buzzer to tip-off, generally:

2 minutes for national anthem
3 minutes for lineups
1 minute "timeout"/huddle

It's part of the structure for all Big 12 teams. They moved the national anthem back a few years ago. It used to be with 10-12 minutes left on the clock. Then, teams started doing elaborate intros (lights out; videos), so the Big 12 just changed their pregame format across the board to keep it uniform.
