1. Eff UK

2. ND ripped off our offensive philosophy and out Hoiberged us this year. Makes me sick.
#2 is exactly what happened. We thumped them two years ago, they adopt our playstyle and go further in the tourney with it. Sunnuva.

I also noticed BYU did the same thing this year and the announcers during the play-in game talked as if it has been their backbone for years (unless I am not recalling their offensive correctly from our game last year).

Grant took a lot of bad shots that last few minutes, they gave up on any passing. There was three awful possessions in a row, and two of them out of timeouts. That's on the coach. Grant was playing hero ball.

ND may have adopted some Hoiball principles but it fits the talent they have. I thought 6'1" Jackson actually had a block but they didn't give him one in the box score.

I noticed that, too! I was thinking 'I don't remember that when we played them home-and-away'. They definitely did the same thing. I think that's the way college bball is going, actually. Hoiball needs to take it's final form in order to outpace.

Grant has been the hero multiple close games this year, getting off balance crazy shots to go down. Vasturia has made some clutch baskets too though. Was wishing ND would have fouled earlier in KY possession to have a shot at a three with some time at the end.

Hoiball fits a lot of teams, honestly. It's what basketball should be.

Yep, they played great for 37:30 seconds, then Grant took hero ball shots the rest of the way. It takes an extremely disciplined offensive attack to beat Kentucky, Notre Dame came damn close.

No, we would get physically dominated inside. When we go on our inevitable cold shooting streak Kentucky would blow it open.

True. I think if they were playing to capability they would show a performance much like the one we saw with ND. But the slow start would doom them. Would you trust ISU to have a good 3 point % against UK? Neither would I.

The world would be on fire this morning if Grant would have thrown in that heave from the corner.

He moved like fifteen feet without putting it on the floor just to get it off.
