I found this in a free article from rivals. Elijah Johnson is a 2009 point guard who Greg Mcd and company have already offered. These are very encouraging words to hear about him! This staff has a real eye for talent considering we offered him a few months ago!


Elijah Johnson was the best 2009 point guard we saw over the weekend. Well built and explosive, Johnson has a load of talent as a slasher and playmaker. He is a sure fire five-star if he improves his jumper, and that is exactly what he is focused on.

"I'm really working on my jump shot," Johnson told Rivals.com. "I'm enjoying playing shooting guard for the Hoops because I want to get better playing off the ball. I already know what I can do at the point, and when it is crunch time, I'll have the ball in my hands."

Still open with his recruitment, Johnson claims offers from Iowa State and UCLA and noted that Kansas and Texas are also vigorously pursuing him.

Ahhh....as much as I hate to say it, I don't like our chances with this kid. I have no inside info, just seeing that the world is opening up for him, and I am not sure that We are part of that.

I hope that I am wrong, he would be a tremendous get.

He plays on the same AAU team as P'Allen Stinnett, Craig Brackens, and a few other familier names we all know. So we do have an in with him. Also Gmac started recruiting him when he was a freshman and I beleive we were the first team to offer. So we do have some things going for us.
