Tell that to PSU, Iowa wrestling fans and Texas and LSU baseball fans. Just because ISU isn't a factor in wrestling and don't have a baseball team, doesn't mean there isn't a lot of interest in the sport.
Football forum. Basketball forum. No one gives a **** about wrestling or baseball.
No doubt Iowa is and has been dominate in wrestling, also no doubt that popularity of wrestling nationwide is in pretty significant decline. Other than the big 10 most conferences have a lot of schools that have dropped wrestling. Seems the decline is likely to continue.
So I guess cross country is huge now since we're good at it? Men's volleyball is big time now since some schools on the west coast are good at it. Or maybe Lacrosse, since Ivy leaguers rule there?
The main sports are basketball and football because almost every school has both of those. End of story.

Well no duh football and bball are king. But to Iowa fans, wrestling is still a big deal. Wrestling is and probably always will be a regional sport for the Midwest and east coast just like college baseball will be a southern and west coast sport. Still doesn't change the fact that for the schools that are good at it, they have a lot of fan support.
If I was an ISU fan, I probably wouldn't care about wrestling either.

Lol we’re a top 15 wrestling program. Stop, not everybody can have the history schools like Iowa and Oklahoma State can have in wrestling
You are the ones interested in it and they have their own fan sites. Scurry on over there and take your tired show with you. There is way too much to discuss about Football and Basketball around here now.
How so? I said I'm still living in the glow of a national championship in wrestling and was told that wrestling doesn't matter by ISU fans. I'm just saying that wrestling may not matter nationwide, but it is still alive and well in the midwest and especially Iowa.

I don't understand why you are debating this here - I bet PSU fans would love the banter on wrestling over at their board. Texas fans probably want to talk baseball more than football now thanks to ISU. Hell, I have heard the Rutgers Field Hockey thread is pages!
