Eli chooses, Fran loses

He’d go higher for sure. Likely top 15, maybe top 10, but it doesn’t matter the era guys like Cunningham, Jalen Green, Mobley, Suggs, and Kuminga will always go over him. Those guys have limitless potential.
And kids like/similar to Garza will always have a place in college basketball. Other than the fact that I have loved watching him play and wish him the best going forward it's really a mute point what he does after this season. Sign me up for another kid just like him for 4 years with the Hawks. He's brought nothing but positive attention to himself and the U of I. I think his future looks great no matter where he ends up.

Eli King, at least I am hoping for him, has been on Iowa radar for a while as well as Hollman and their is mutual interest. There is also a 3* PG that we may be even higher on than those 2.

and Nickel as a SF. They are are least in the running at this point but obviously that can change.

another guy would be Filipowki and he seems to be a typical Iowa player with his style of play.

Mulvey had lots of interest and a Cuse offer. Not bad really. I trust fran to make the right call and get his guys.

The young talent on the Iowa roster is pretty good and fits well with each other. Sandfort will be the shooter guy we are losing with Weezy/ Jbo. CJ will hopefully stay healthy. Perkins, Murrays, Ulis all can guard well. The young bull will be a contributor too. and Patrick should continue to grow and add some strength. He reminds me of Baer with his streaky shooting. Toussaint needs an outside shot, but is showing massive improvement with his decision making the last few games.

Don't know much about Eli King

Nickel isn't going to Iowa. Neither is Filipowski. So congrats on the one 4* you might be in on

Nickel has Iowa as one of his top schools? But it would be hard to get him out of the East Coast. I do not know a ton about King either, just that he is a Minnesota kid and Minnesota just fired their coach..... as is a lot of good players in the 2022 class at the moment.

Prince Aligbi 4* SF
Eli King 4* PG
Trejaun Holloman 4* PG
Camden Heide 4* SF

Iowa has as good a shot as any to land these guys.

I get it that you guys hate Iowa, but you cannot deny the fact that you were all dead wrong about the players we get and their ability to play ball.

King is also a 4* football recruit but is choosing to play basketball. Pretty elite athletically. I've heard 4.4 40 speed. Seen him play some summer ball a couple times. We want him.

I'm sure Iowa wants all these guys but they won't get them

I agree. Luka would definitely be in the lottery.

The ship most likely sailed on Filipowski with the Mulvey commitment. Nickel would be nice but I think it is less than 50/50 he ends up at Iowa.

Joe needs a lot more than an outside shot. I actually hope he moves on after the season.

I think he has turned the corner and just needs some reps. Next season I can see him shooting better and developing a game similar to Simpson from Michigan a few years ago. Defensively he could be elite. Offensively he needs to get into the flow of the offense more. With Joe it is consistency. Ulis might actually be better than him also. Iowa is in good hands IMO. They will be more athletic next year but less likely to be great shooters.

Toussaint is lost defensively most of the time. He is quick but is lost out there a lot.
