EJ Bibbs in XFL Draft

If the plan is to play traditional football with this group of talent the XFL is going to be in trouble (again).

I agree 100%. I think the AAF had it right with their model, and they seemed to have a decent amount of good college players who for whatever reason didn’t stick in the NFL. This group is much worse than that

Connor Cook QB from Michigan St and Roberto Aquayo K from Florida St were the only names I recognized other than Bibbs.

Jonas Gray bounced around the NFL for a bit. I was kind of surprised to see him on the list because he's been around for a while - his wikipedia page says he's 29 years old.

I vaguely recall Devine Redding being a pretty good RB at Indiana.

Guessing players after that last league folded are not in a big hurry to sign up for another new league. Lot's of players got hosed.

Trey Watts was on the Tulsa team that we played three times in like 12 months.

Frank Alexander from OU was a good player, and Heaps at KU got some hype as a former 5-star transfer.

Plenty more names to come. There's about 200 or so on this list and each of the eight teams is supposed to draft 71 guys to fill out their rosters.

I think they have the right idea in not adhering to the NFL's three year rule. Maybe they can lure some high profile underclassmen to play professionally for them for a year or two. You have to give the viewer a reason to watch; nobody's tuning in for scrubs and has-beens. But it'll be an uphill battle convincing any kid to bail on a big time P5 program for a startup league no matter how much cash you flash at them.

Can the XFL even outbid SEC schools?
