Ed has lost a few brain cells I think over the years. He used to be one of the best in the nation about 15 years or so ago.
Yep..but its not brain cells. Hes just lost a few steps and is coming from behind every play.

He looks like this. And is sometimes known for his "over dramatic" foul calling actions. The name sounds familiar but I didn't know which one he was.

And it wasnt only him, it was the whole crew...This is the first game that ive seen in the mcdermott era that the team played with heart and conviction..and the refs seemed to have it in for us...2 players were down with injuries(Boozer was hit hard than McCoy in the Title game) and theres no foul on boozer being tackled/he had to be helped off the court after 5 minutes....Everytime that ISU had a chance to run..theres a ticky-tack foul which coincidentally leads to a longhorn 3 point play...I usually don't complain about the refs but these were HORRIBLE...Pittman pitched camp in the lane/goaltended 2x's, James just held on to brackins like a clingy dog...Balbay just got away with soo much..he steps out of bounds when he gets a loose ball..ref is in great position to make the call..do they ?..Absolutely not! Its almost like the refs were paid by the Big 12 so that they could have a number 1 team for more than 1 week...
Barely touched?!?!?!?!....He was tackled when he stopped and planted his leg...Hate to break it to you... Boozer barely got touched.:dull:

Is this the guy with the dyed hair? I think the guy with the dyed hair reffed one of ISU's games at the beginning of the year and he got hurt and there was only two refs for a while reffing the game.
You should watch that play over again, he was fouled twice on the play by the same guy.
LOL! That is great! You probably know him better from his role in star wars (courtesy GIS):

I don't know about you but I don't watch basketball for the dramatic foul calls. The best referees are the ones that aren't noticed.Who cares if his calls are dramatic? Fun to watch IMO. Also agree with the posters saying Boozer barely got touched, just a freak play... Hope he's back soon.
At the game - so I didn't get to see replays and such. But I thought the game was pretty poorly officiated overall, but Ed wasn't the guilty party.
Very, very physical and alot of missed stuff early. Then rather ticky tacky late. That drives me nuts when refs loose consistency.
Wasn't the reason we lost by any stretch, but a questionable job, IMO.
