I coached a kid like that in youth football. After the 3-4 time he fell down with no one around him I just left him. Got old after awhile.

How was that first mom there so fast, didn't even wait to see if the kid was phased at all

My oldest (this was eons ago) was put in right field for tee ball and more than once would lay down out there in the grass until somebody told him the half inning was over.
