Doyle cost Epenesa millions

Sure he lost money, the whole point of returning was to increase his draft stock, which he did not do. So unless Iowa was paying him the NFL minimum the extra year he spent in Iowa City, he lost money. He also delayed another year to get his big day, on his second contract.

He took a chance, and it turned out poorly, and while it was great for Iowa that he returned, its silly to say, it did not cost him money.

We will never know what would have happened. What if he was drafted by another team and it wasn’t the right fit. That happens all the time. I’m sure King has no regrets. He loved being a Hawk and fulfilled his moms wish of getting a degree and now he is an all pro. Living the dream. Everyone else is just super jealous.

Why is it that all Iowa fans say " He loved being a Hawk", how do you know that, other than some coach/player speak? He could have gotten his degree any time after his playing days are over, and it has nothing to do with jealousy, but common sense. He costs himself $480,000 for the year he returned to school at least, NFL minimum, and being an All Pro even more in the backend, because he is only on the 2nd year of his 4th year rookie contract, instead of year 3.

King was never a 1st or 2nd round pick. I love how posters on here act like one mock projection = reality. He probably had a more impressive year his Sr. year, as nobody would throw at him at all.
King wasn’t tall enough or fast enough to be a first rounder...even though he’s certainly played like one.

Hated it..

It's a crazy world. Haven't beaten the hawks in years. Haven't had any kids drafted high. Never won more than 8 games. Haven't won a bowl game in a while. Meanwhile hawks recruit and develop kids and they get drafted and have long careers, they win a lot of games and actually show up on bowl games but we STILL talk smack because their first round DE isn't going top 5 but "only" top 20?

I hope we never change.

We've won more than 8 games before.
We won a bowl game 2 years ago.
We have players in the NFL that all scored TDs last week even.

From what I am hearing from my source with the Pack is that there is a good chance that there will be 0 hawks on their roster unless they draft one. Jackson stands a better chance than Bulaga due to his salary cap hit.

This the same guy that gave you the hot take Bulaga was being released 4 seasons ago? You know, right after his contract extension? Yeah, you definitely seem like you're in the know.

Bump, really hoping for some closure on this one.

Only if he hates Iowa and doesn't care about getting his degree
Like I said you got nothing this winter-lol. Just you and Randy Pete to commiserate with
Funniest part is the egg on Pollards face from trying to raise Clones profile against a Notre Dame team that took you to the woodshed
