Donovan Jackson commits

I will add my opinion. I feel like we haven't exactly learned anything new. We knew there might be issues with his clock. I think part of the problem is when people would ask if that was where the questions about eligibility were we would get nothing or some criptic message. If you have insider info be open to sharing the concern and why it is a concern or keep it to yourself.

I don't think too many people know the details I just think there's a sizable number of people who knew there was an issue. Then there were people who refused to believe that there was an issue, and then there were people in the middle.

Not overplaying anything. I stand behind the term "strong". But fully anticipate we will have other good news within the week to take our minds off this issue; at least temporarily.

Hoops or football? If it is hoops I just assume it's Jackson reaffirming his commitment

I'm done for awhile guys. I just ask that you be more receptive to some of the messengers on this website. I am by no means as "connected" as some on this site. I grow very tired of people blasting another's post and then not having the decency to admit when they are wrong.

I'll admit I know nothing, if you will come out and tell everyone that your source is 247 crystal ball prediction.

I'm in the group that believes there might be an issue, chooses to be optimistic about it, and is annoyed by people who seem to enjoy making sure everyone knows about potential bad news.

I remember a couple weeks ago people were talking about he might not make it. Then those people were asked why and they wouldn't even say what type of issues they thought there were. That's when a lot of people said he is going to be here and people who say he isn't are sky is falling types. Say you think it might be issues regarding his clock. Otherwise people thought that they were freaking out about his academic standing at DMACC.

its simple, really. If you post anonymous teasers, you are going together blasted. If you lord your info over people, and go all "I told you so", you are going to get blasted. If you say what you know and how you know it, it will go fine. Like in most thing it comes down to : don't be an *******.

He didn't tease anything except that some good news may be coming.

This place has gotten to be full of a bunch of entitled babies. They want information then as soon as they get some, they want every detail to go along with it. You'd think since basically every person with any sort of inside knowledge has stepped away from the main board they'd appreciate when someone comes in with something. They don't, though, and they run off Jeremy and now roch, which is fine. They they hide behind this somehow noble idea that they are calling out "those that think they are too important" when in reality, it's either a bunch of people who are jealous they don't have this information or a bunch of people that don't take bad news like adults.

"Say what you know and how you know it." That's ******* ridiculous. "Here, let me tell you how I got all my information so I never get any again." How stupid.

WTF is going on in here? Discussing Malou in the Jackson thread while people cryptically post about good news coming which will then be followed by bad news?

Word of advice for next time; try to be a little less pretentious and don't tell the uninformed, unwashed masses that they should refrain from posting.

Came for Jackson news, leaving after cryptic messages, people crying about cryptic messages, people asking for more detail or source, and finally people saying how revealing sources will not get them info in the future.

I generally find the people whining about others' info way more annoying than those posting said info. Even if said info is totally wrong.

I don't think the issue is expecting everything. The issue comes from the I know more than you type of post. I don't always pay attention to who says what because there are so many people I can't keep track but there were people saying Malou might not make it. Ok that is fine but then say what the issue might be. Because at the time it seemed like their reasoning was that his grades wouldn't be good enough even if he graduated DMACC which is a load of crap.

I know I don't have problems with people as long as they are honest and straightforward with their information. Some people aren't and that is why they get a bad rapport.

That's the entire point. If you got information that you aren't allowed to share - then don't share it.

Why should we trust someone who appears to just be making up info?

My thought is if it's academics at least say it's more complicated then grades. Or getting an aa. Mostly because people will assume as much and if it's not that it looks rude to say someone isn't smart enough to pass his classes.

That's exactly what people have been saying for weeks actually. But unless you can cite the exact NCAA statute or provide a link, it's considered cryptic by many.

Trust but verify . . . kindof.

If a poster here has information he knows to be true but is unwilling to provide the source for that information, my preference is that he not post it (others here will have different preferences, of course). Keep that information to himself. We can live without the information until that time it becomes public knowledge . . . if, in fact, it does.

Without "proof of fact" many (most?) of us will be in doubt about authenticity. Anyone can say anything; providing a source for what is said or claimed lends a certain credibility otherwise missing.

Yes. There are an awful lot of these semi-related, yet conflicting and confusing bits of information and entanglements. It kind of reminds me of the start of World War I. I hope that I'm not the Franz Ferdinand of CF.

I don't really care if it's sourced or not but just saying things like "big news coming", "not looking good", etc. is just looking for attention whether the info is real or not. I appreciate info from posters like 501clone that don't necessarily say details but will use phrases like "This is not happening" or "this is correct". Seems like the posters with good intel are usually responding to threads and posts not randomly interjecting things like "this is going to be bad" in the middle of a thread on a topic that most people know and have accepted could be hit or miss like the Malou thing.
