Donovan Jackson commits

I really hope he sticks to the LOI, and is healthy enough to play this coming season. For one, there is no reason he can't coexist with our current backcourt, and if healthy, I think he makes that backcourt very dynamic and fresh for 40 minutes. A guy like him added to Monte, Naz, Matt (known "commodities"), gives us that all important spacing and matches up well with the West Virginia's of the world. Would be very risky to press that group, and a pack line defense leaves Matt and Naz in the corners to just bomb away.

I think we'll be able to do that regardless, but the addition of a healthy Jackson would allow us to run without taking the foot off the gas. Many times this last season, I felt we slowed down to catch our breath or avoid foul trouble, because our primary ball handlers couldn't afford to miss a lot of action. Jackson adds quality, potentially no drop off depth.

For the thousandth time, there's more to it than that, but you can beleive whatever you want I guess.
I don't get it. He's not a high school recruit, so whatever high school coursework he took should not matter. Unless he was ever paid to play basketball professionally, he should have no problems. Are you saying Yuba College and DMACC are not legit institutions?

We slowed down because our half court offense was so darn effecient.

But how many did he average as a junior? I was under the impression it was under thirty. Our back court depth was a joke last year so if it's not a necessity this upcoming year I don't understand why we would need to play him 30+ per game.

He averaged 28 minutes during the 2014-15 season.

Would certainly like to see Donovan Jackson in a Cyclone uniform next year; however, if he is not sure and decides to move on then more power to him and I wish him the best where ever he lands.

Some people are idiots.

I'm not including Lard either at this point either. I hope they are both cleared but it wouldn't shock me if we didn't end up with the services of one or both.

Lard I get, as there has been plenty of things out there saying he's a risk to not qualify academically.

But there is nothing other than a handful of sky is always falling posters on here that indicate Malou won't qualify, assuming he graduates from community college, which all signs have indicated he will.

All of our recruits are making it, the staff feels good about it, it's just people here who like to complain no matter what that are worried.

I think it's thewhole being two over the scholarship limit and speculation that results from it.

Simply not true. There are people in the know who have said as much. I have no idea if they are correct but the source isn't message board idiots. I wish it was. I'm not worried about it but there is something to it. It doesn't seem to be an overwhelming hurdle whatever it is.

Who? Granted, I don't follow recruiting nearly as much as some of you, but who in the know is saying it where?

There are questions about malou being eligible. Less about grades, more about all the schools he went to, play in Australia, etc. Think Cheick diallo.

Ok. . . Think cj bruton. I don't know if you are old enough to remember him so if not Google it. Don't know if that's it, but that's probably the stuff they are looking at.

Diallo didn't get his Associates degree from a community college first.
