Donovan Jackson commits

Seriously? Is he thinking of following TJ?

I doubt he'd follow TJ. He would be a hot commodity if Prohm let him out of his LOI.

I think the visit is a good sign. Not many recruits leave campus with a negative feeling about the program. The entire weekend will be about him, and I'm sure spending a bunch of time with Monte, Naz and Co. won't hurt.

Little puzzling, considering he has been on campus and to games multiple times. 'Jackson may want to talk to the staff face to face to get a clear picture of the situation.

He may de-commit, but I doubt he'll follow TJ to SDSU. His talent will give him BCS program options and I would expect him to explore those if he actually requests and granted his release.

I thought I heard before TJ left he was going to take an OV to ISU anyways since he hadn't use it yet.

Iowa State JUCO PG signee Donovan Jackson tells me he'll take an official visit to Iowa State next week from Thursday to Saturday.

Jackson hasn't come to a final conclusion yet on his recruitment but hadn't previously done an official visit, so he'll do that now.

I see that as excellent news. I really trust the staff and I think he'll love the character of the guys he'll be playing with.

He's already signed. Seems a little bit late to be changing your mind regardless of the situation.

Also, Steve Prohm recently stopped in to visit Jackson. He's been in pretty frequent contact.

These tweets are all from today.

We need this guy. Not necessarily next season, but we lose so many guards next year, having a for sure guy to lean on the next season is crucial.

Given his recent uncertainty, I think the visit is good news. It will give him three days on campus to talk with coaches and players and have a good time in Ames. If he decides to go elsewhere, so be it. His situation has certainly changed since he originally committed, and it would be hard to fault him for opening things up. No inside info, but I'm confident he will be in an ISU jersey next season.

How has his situation changed since he committed?
