Unless there are questions about his work ethic which is harder to fix.
Agree but feel like CMC and Company are really in tune with the psychological aspects.
Either that or they figured wtf, high risk high reward.

I seem to recall that KO reported as a freshman listed at something like 6’6” 345. And by the time he was a senior, was a totally different type of 6’6” 345.Gotta be honest, I don't give a crap what other offers were committable. If the rumors out there of him putting on bad weight are true, seems like something that can be fixed pretty easy in a year or two with a D1 strength and conditioning program.
Super excited to get this kid. We do not need him to play this year. Assuming he has the desire to take advantage of the opportunity, after a year of diet and weight training he can be a monster. I loved his tape.Dominique O was the defensive player of the year in KC metro. That's big time folks. Kid is obviously super talented.
Strength of a good D starts on the interior D line and we continue to build there. Love this late pickup.

Having Singleton, Lee, and Howard Brown lessens the need to play him early. But he may be good enough to where he will play early. If he was a sniff below what Ohio State wanted, that would mean he's pretty elite in our type of program. In a good program, most of the good lineman recruits (on both sides of the ball) kind of disappear for the first year or so, and emerge ready to play at a high level. There were a lot of big guys this year that did that, which IMO promises great things for the future.
Purdy was also a target of theirs.Even Alabama will take a few 3 stars. Mac Jones was one.
Is that Bert? They hate us cuz they ain't us.

Agreed. And there can be a huge difference in the amount of energy guys can exert on each play if you are regularly rotating 9 guys versus 7 guys. That means fewer snaps for each guy so each guy can be that much meaner on each of his snaps. They always talk about a big offensive line wearing down a defensive front. Well the opposite can be true as well. That is part of the reason ISU's defense is generally so lethal in the second half.We don’t play an odd front out of desperation.
Dammit man!!Offer list is very impressive. Could get significant time as a freshman.

We've been hearing that for 5 years now. Umm.... Will McDonald? Blake Petersen. Isaiah Lee, etc.... on the defensive line we've had several guys not play much for a year or two and then become productive players. I think Will played 4 games as a freshman, Lee I think like 1 or 2 each of his first two years. So it has happened, maybe more so on the defensive line than on offense but even there....We've been hearing that for 5 years now. I'll believe it when I see it
He’s probably, 4th at best on the DT depth chart this year?Offer list is very impressive. Could get significant time as a freshman.
WM is a bad example. He was productive in those four games. He and the staff decided it was best for him to redshirt. Guessing due to his slow increases in the weight department and wanting to eventually get to being a multi dementional player.Umm.... Will McDonald? Blake Petersen. I think this next crop is where you see players who are going to develop coming off redshirts. At least IMO / hopefully. Guys like Bonifas, Petersen, Maro who had a good offer list, even Hufford who yes, struggled a lot at times at tackle didn't play much his first two years.
So I think we are starting to see it - it may not quite be to the level people want but it is beginning to show up IMO
See what? Our dline development has been stellar. I never expect a kid to contribute on either line early on. If they are we have depth problems. We've been hearing that for 5 years now. I'll believe it when I see it
