Does Hakeem Still Have A Dream?

I’m curious what people think. Is Hakeem Butler earning himself another serious shot at the NFL? Or is the NFL just going to yawn and say, “It’s the XFL”.

Guess we won’t know anything until sometime after the Draft, just curious what everyone thinks.

He had a weird run in the NFL after getting hurt immediately and getting moved to TE by Philly IIRC.

I hope he gets another shot, if for no other reason than he was one of my favorite cyclone WR's to watch, just physically dominated CB's.

I think Hakeem would be good in the Miami's system running fades and flags off those double sets they like to push with two routes forcing the safety to pick their poison. Hakeem is super fast when he's in stride.

He will get a shot. Hopefully he can turn into something like LAzard who had a rough start to his NFL dream
Lazard is a significantly more physical and better blocker. That what I assume he’ll hear he has to get better at if he wants a shot.

Blocking sure, but Hakeem was the strongest wr running the ball I’ve seen us have, he’d be dragging half the defense some plays and still get away.

You would think he'd be an insane end zone fade route threat.
Yeah I don't understand why he couldn't make a team and have packages in the end zone or critical 3rd downs or something for him. Seems like he could add a lot of value as a teams 4th WR

Just gotta make the easy plays. The crazy stuff has never been a problem, it’s the drops on 2nd and 7 that killed his career.

Exactly. He had a huge drop on 3rd and medium in OT vs Iowa on a that made us kick a FG vs get a TD. That was the stuff that always drove me nuts about him. 11:10 of this highlight tape:

I always though HB was the most athletically talented guy ISU ever had at WR. He compared favorably with all the other big12 stud WRs too.

I have a pic on my computer from the Alamo bowl with HB leaping to make a catch, and he is so high in the air, his waist is above the D-backs head. Insane.

Couldnt understand why he didnt stick in the league, although Bigman summed it up well.

Combine w his personal story, and few i would rather see make it.
