Welcome to Cyclone Nation! Ready to get the 2021 recruiting class rolling!
He's a student of mine. Great football player & an even greater student and human being!! QUALITY young man & excited for his chance to make an impact for the Cyclones in the near future! BTW, I'm taking partial credit for the recruiting win here. I had Dodge in class both last year and currently - each day he walks into my class, he sees tons of ISU posters, etc - including my autographed Troy Davis football! GO CYCLONES!!!!
Great start to 2021, an in-state young man who thoroughly wants to be a Cyclone and is excited to help bring others on board with him. Good for him, good for ISU!
BTW, as I was making my way back to my room (during my planning period), I saw Dodge's dad sitting with an ISU FB staffer, that I recognized, in the conference room, & I wondered what might be going on. Wish I had known he was going to commit. I will be sure to welcome him to CYCLONE NATION next week!

I'm (sort of) serious: the success in football and uptick in good football names at ISU is not a coincidence.
I actually supervised the "Winter Whirl" dance last night and congratulated him! He was still on cloud 9. He said that his dad actually wanted him to go to ISU - although the decision was entirely his. I know that he attended the KSU-ISU game this year (as a guest of the Wildcats) & that C. Messingham was at our high school last spring to talk with Dodge and his dad (his dad is a fellow teacher and also our head FB coach). So, besides UNI, they were also after him pretty hard. Again, excited for the kid. He, like many linemen, will need a couple of years to develop - but you can be sure that he will work his butt off to do all he can to help the team!
Love to hear other schools with quality olines are after him as well. Great sign!
