Hey smart people. Set up a database or a web site or something to register ISU vanity plates. Maybe add it to CF profiles and make it searchable. It'd be kinda cool to say "hi, saw you/passed you blah blah blah. etc".

I just can't grasp the concept of what goes on in somebody's head when they reference Iowa on an ISU plate, or in screen name for that matter. Especially when they reference something as transient as a football score.

I was wanting plates for xmas and I swear I remember seeing some kind of gift certificate around. I went to the DOT website but I didn't see anything. Does anyone know where to get the gift certificate so someone can pay for the plates and then I can choose what to put on them?
Mad props. I had this same exact plate in Virginia. And ISU FAM in GA. Vanity plates are a bit tougher to get in TX and no 7-letter plates.
The DOT site has the PDF form to fill out, at the bottom information pertains to gift certificate stuff, just filled this out last week....
Wish we could all get Cyfan T shirts with our screen names on it. Think that would be pretty cool
don't you just fill out the form with your 6 choices and send a check for $50 in the mail? at least that's what i've always done.
i also suggest getting ahold of somebody in the courthouse to check availabilty. i ended up getting my 4th or 5th choice which i didn't put much thought into the first time i did this and wasn't really stoked about them. 2nd time around i found 1 that was avail before i submitted the form, and thus CYVADER was born.
Again, loving the IOWA ST8 plates. If it shows up correctly here is my old one.

I had them on my old truck but my new truck I had to get the business trade plates to save some money. I cant get ISU plates with business trade on them.
Ruby Silverado would be a great name for a female country singer.
