DO NOT RUSH THE COURT

As they should. That was embarrassing.

Nah. It was emotion. Never bad to see passion out of your fan base. There was no malice to it. It was just joy at beating a rival after being down 20 points. I refuse to buy into the notion that to be a good team, everyone has to act like they've been there before. Where is that written? If that's how you want to react, go for it. You can be a curmudgeon all by yourself. I'll be celebrating.

I have to say if Iowa was ranked #4 and we were unranked, and they beat us in their house, if they stormed the court, I would not respect that at all. Let's face it, the entire nation laughed at us last night. It's all good though, who really cares what anyone else thinks.

A normal win over Iowa does not warrant a court storming. A win when you only lead in the first minute and in the last 10 seconds, and when you were down by 20 in the second half is another story.

The last thing I want is for our fanbase to turn into KU's. I'll take them criticizing us as a compliment.

Time for all the fun haters to come out and tell how they're too good to be excited.

Most other opponents I would say no, but the emotion of how it happened and it being the in state rival I have very few problems with that reaction other then running Randy over....

This subject is overblown. It is not an ISU thing, it's a College Sports thing. I equate it to the arguments over who is a better fan based on whether or not you went to school there, donate, or how long you have been a fan.

No they didn't. You only had to watch a few seconds of the post game to hear analysts saying it was justified.

And even if that was true, so what? Pull the stick out of your *** America. Sports are supposed to be fun. If you are getting all twisted over the "image" you present after a hard-fought win over a rival, you maybe need to take a step back.

Some people tried laughing at us. More of a jealousy laugh. Jealous of Hilton Magic. Jealous of the number 4 ranked team in the country laugh. Jealous of an undefeated team laugh.

**** them all if they can't take a joke. Kids camp out for almost a week to get in, we come back from 20 down and it's against our in-state rival.

The more and more society limits the college game and the "fun" surrounding it, the more of a commodity it will become. These are kids watching kids play a game. For the love of everything good and Holy, let the fun remain.

(And pray to baby Jesus that olderish reporters don't get hurt anymore.)

I don't believe it could be said much better than this.

If #4 ISU beats good but unranked Iowa at home and they are comfortable throughout the game there really isn't the emotion and a court storming is contrived. When your team is down by 20 in the first half, brings the lead down in the second and then it gets back to 20 and the team still finds the fortitude to win on a shot inside the last 10 seconds - that's a heck of a win no matter what your rank.

If someone laughs at students who - as Prohm pointed out - camped out for 3 days before the game, tough. Let the kids have their 15 or 20 minutes (also a sentiment from the head coach).

Oh this ******* discussion. A bunch of grown *** men ****** off that the student body doesn't act like they've "been there before" because the optics of it somehow matter. Safety is a concern, but otherwise, mehh.

original.

I concur with VeloClone Johnson

We could potentially have a lawsuit coming up from the injury that happened last night. With the new rule from Bowlsby we could potentially lose home games if we storm the court during conference games this year. It's time for court storming to end.

You're right. They should take away the win.

Grow a pair, accept the criticism when it comes, but don't ever feel "embarrassed" about Iowa St's huge, dedicated student fan base having fun with an emotional win.

Let's wait and see how the conference really reacts before we go into complete meltdown mode.

He was injured because he fell. Not because he was pushed.

No they didn't, if they aren't passionate college BBall fans, they probably have no idea who we even are, #4 ranking or not. On WGN news this morning, discussing Randy being trampled, they called us Ohio State. So don't worry, if anything they are laughing at Ohio State in Chicago at least.
