DM Register...seriously

Shouldn't talk politics on this forum, but the RAG does print both left- and right-leaning op eds, which is more balanced than the sports pages. But I agree, I prefer the WSJ too.

Funny people bring up they read the wall street journal when saying how they don't want to support the register. Anyone want to guess as to where the wsj is printed?

when he was fired they gave him the option of coming back if he addressed his drinking problem and got help, which he did. No conspiracy, just a second chance.

The point you obvously don't understand (shock) is that his "reinstatement" was barely a blip in the media. The story framed by the pr machine was that he addressed his problem.

Now, any reference to drunk eddie, never seems to include this little episode. Hell, they always referred to le as "the highest paid state employee." You never hear that about kirkie the scum...

In the end, iowa fans (you know) tend to live in denial, so any sort of bad news about almost killing players, or your star receiver living in a drug house, etc...the sheep like existence gets turned upside down...so it has to be that mean media wanting the facts about things like your coach and ad covering up a rape...

I rarely read the Rag but I had breakfast Sunday at the P-Hill HyVee and it was sitting on the table next to me. Noticed the poor location of the article on the front page but chalked it up to the other teams beating better opponents. However the thing that irked me was when I open the sports page up to read the rest of the story it's placed next to the UNC article. I don't look at HB with any ill will but also don't hold him in any higher regard than any other non-cyclone.
