It amazes me how many anti-DMR threads there are on this site. At this point we all know the Rag is not the New York Times so why do those who hate it so much continue to read it? It seems that many on here just have to have something to be butt-hurt over, or else they can't find satisfaction in their lives.

While I agree that the DM Rag slants their coverage towards Iowa and does not give ISU the coverage they often deserve (unless negative) my main ***** with that worthless excuse for a paper is their left wing wackos in the opinon editorial pages. I prefer to read the Wall Street Journal. Excellent publication IMO.

I'll never understand it myself. The Rag has a Hawkeye bias, it's obvious and I don't think they deny it. I don't understand the mentality myself. I think we should all email Pollard.
Don't sweat it fellow readers. After the drubbing the Hawks took from Indiana, a 6-6 team, the Register will report that with a half page report, big headline and photo too, right............................

Shouldn't talk politics on this forum, but the RAG does print both left- and right-leaning op eds, which is more balanced than the sports pages. But I agree, I prefer the WSJ too.

Well it is important. We are in a propaganda war for fans. Every little bit of fair coverage or spin is better for us. Influential 14 year sports fans don't read the paper, but they read the on line version, so it is important. I remember being young and reading the DSM Register Sport Page with crap headlines on Sunday morning like "Iowa blows out Minnesota 17-9" and "ISU Gets By OSU 24-7".
