Really? While there are certainly a large number of people who carry balances, there are also a number of people who pay off their balance each month. So rewards are hardly a "gimmick"...in fact, you'd almost be stupid NOT to be using a rewards program.
Ok Dave Ramsey. Perhaps people with credit cards have higher incomes? I haven't carried a balance on a credit card in 8+ years. There are some people in this world that can practice self-control and don't need to divvy up cash in envelopes.

Yeah, it's not really a bargain if you don't need it in the first place. Or it was so overpriced before it went "on sale" it's now close to what it's worth. Women don't get these concepts.

Not capital one; but this is a very good card. 2% on everything and no annual fees. The rewards can be deposited in a Fidelity account, a Fidelity IRA or a Fidelity 529 plan.
