Disappointing

The people leaving the stadium yesterday weren't going to watch the game on anything. They had give up on the team which is very hard to take for a Cyclone fan.

I was in the stadium and wasn’t watching for most of the second half. There wasn’t anything worthwhile to see.

I'm an 81 year old Iowa fan and suffered through 17 years of loosing football. During those 17 years I don't think I ever witnessed fans leaving the stadium like I did yesterday.
Have to say BS to that comment. EIU likes to give off the vibe that they were pulling in 50,000 fans packing the stadium every game during the down times. Its a myth that many EIU fans now believe as a fact.
Winning brings in fan, the more you win, the more fans you make, its that simple. ISU had the lost decade of the 80's where we did not bring in a lot of new fans, while EIU was going and losing to the Rose Bowl and tying for big 10 championships.
But now that has morphed into that every game was always sold out, and no fan every left a game before it was over, this was the same fan base that booed a senior on senior day. Over in Iowa City, they are great fans when they are winning, start losing games and they are ready to throw freerents under the bus.

I was in the upper deck around the 20 yard line on the SW side. I was basically surrounded by Hawk fans and it was terrible
Isn't those sections of the stadium the overflow of the visitors fans that purchased tickets through EIU? They seat some of the people in the SE corner about the goal line and then the rest are seated in the SW upper deck.

Hopefully, Kinnick can sell out a game before the Cyclones come to town next year. I think we are 2 of your last 3 sellouts. Seems you need Cyclone fans to reach capacity now.

Also, I recall a Penn State 50 point beat down in Kinnick around 7 years ago or so where Kinnick was empty for the whole 4th quarter. I understand memory is not good as one gets older.

They even shrunk their stadium and are struggling to fill it. May need to cut out another 2,000.

Looks like a lot of Iowa fans gone in this one at the 1:38 mark. 14 minutes left in that one, what gives?

Thanks. Actually, 9 years ago now. I claimed 7 above. Also, what was more pathetic, the crowd with 14 minutes left in the fourth quarter or the TD celebration down 38-6?
