Did Steele win his job back?

God you are a moron.

It is his as of now. But with the way the year has gone overall (and that fact that we only played BU just now) he is still on a short leash. Let's just all pray he can take tonight and get into a positive grove and keep ISU winning games this year.

Yes, but honestly, I still have a lot of concerns. 2 turnovers and what should have been a 3rd. 3rd touchdown to West was an up for grabs throw as well if the Baylor defender had played the ball.

If Steele plays like that from here on out we're a damn tough team to beat... Key word if... i love Steeles abilities, just hope he can keep making good decisions cuz hes a really talented guy... and he has a ton of heart... what a great game, I'm extremely impressed with his composure out there...

I'll take two turnovers-- rather than a guy who can't even handle a snap without fumbling it-- any day.

they played against the worst defense in the country bascially. Jantz played good but I bet people on this board could play QB and get 1 TD against their D. It's that bad.

If he plays like this against Oklahoma, then we have something to talk about

Also had about 8 drops. The pass was horrilbe that was picked. The fumble I am not down on him too much, was trying for the first down. He can clearly make plays Barnett can not. And really, 2 turnovers in 100 plays isn't the end of the world.

Let's all remember that Baylor has the worst defense in all of FBS football. And I believe the worst defense in 16 years. That's bad.

That being said, he played great tonight and we shouldn't take that away from him. I just hope he's found somewhat of a connection with his WR's and can keep it rolling against OU. And can we get some hand warmers for Aaron Horne?

Hard to tell. It still scares me every time he just lobs the ball up waiting for a pickoff. Barnett does the same thing. Why they can't fire the ball in there, I can't understand.

Agree with you, but it should also be known that only Geno Smith has had a better game against Baylor from all the QBs that faced Baylor pass defense this season.

Steele Jantz could crap out a gold brick and people on here would complain it was too heavy.

5-0 last two seasons when we start adifferent QB than the previous game. We should just alternate every game.

CPR should just put out a smoke screen every Monday in his presser, saying that we don't have a starting QB and it will be a game time decision. Make opposing teams prepare for 2 completely different QB's.

He took much better care of the ball, but he is still like Tony Romo's mini-me. He took much better care of the ball at times and he went through his receivers well. But he sucks at the zone read and is still what is killing us at the line on the run. He's still trying too hard to force a play. He still has the dropsies too.

This said, I love the kid's heart. If he continues to play smart we'll win at least two more.

5 TDs? I'd say he's safe. The turnovers are certainly an issue, but IMO he played way better than Barnett is capable. If our receivers could catch a ball in the 1st quarter this game could have been very ugly, and that's on the receivers, not Jantz. He looked pretty accurate overall. I think we have our quarterback, we have to stick with him now. OU will be tough, although a good opportunity for a hangover game.
