Did Fred mess up not taking Peter Jok?

I think my point was, they're recruiting that kid when I thought they were full for the next two years.

Let the Franning begin.

Jok didn't even play AAU before his senior season. The CyTwins guy sure seems to spew a lot of "facts" about Iowa players for a supposed cyclone fan.

Jok played for All Iowa Attack before his senior season.

Jok suffered a serious knee injury during his freshman season and he's been rehabbing it ever since. His junior season (and AAU seasons before and after that) showcased a far less impressive Jok than the one that had caught the eye of coaches and recruitniks pre-knee injury (when he was considered one of the top prospects in the country), which sent his stock tumbling.

He played PART of a third tier AAU schedule. He left Kingdom and landed at AIA but they played few major tournaments and not in the top brackets when they did. AIA had a great 12 class but otherwise the program is pretty much an afterthought. He was not playing national level competition. I mean I have coworkers with kids playing "AAU" and it's "let me pay money to see if my crappy kid can play at Coe".

So I was right. Got it

While guard depth is obviously a concern, Jok will start at the 2. I'm confident that Fran will put a competitive team on the floor next year, we'll see if they have the horses to contend for a tourney bid.

I think Ellingson is almost a lock to start unless they bring in a grad transfer which would mean Fran pushing someone out there door. They don't bring in any SG's in this next class and whoever they redshirted this year aren't better than Ellingson now otherwise they wouldn't have redshirted and would be playing. It really comes down to who starts at PG and it's either that kid that can't get minutes over Ellingson now or Bohannon.

Ellingson isn't a lock to start. Will all depend on which guys show themselves before next year. Either Williams or Bohannon will likely start at PG. Jok will be at either 2 or 3. I would guess that Uhl starts somewhere (4) and Cook (5). Are either of the 2 guys redshirting better than Ellingson? Perhaps. Next year will be a year of "transition,", or likely not so good. But won't know until it gets here.

I have no idea how he will guard anyone but I've actually been fairly impressed with the Bohannon kid this year. He's really more of a shooter and he small but this year you don't even have to defend Iowas guards on the perimeter. They are really terrible shooters.

Small shooters usually transition well to P5 conferences

In the iowa games I've seen I would be shocked if Ellingson is there next year. I would say that he should go play at Drake with his buddy Timmer but I don't even think he's good enough for a bad MVC team.

And he's Iowa's best guard off the bench

I'm so tempted to just not reply to you..... Ughhhh... you're unbearable....

Naz is really good when healthy. I won't ever dispute that. Problem is, he has had an advanced hip injury and is a 2-guard that relies on his hips to get space from defenders. That spells trouble. He had 5 months to get back from his last hip surgery and couldn't do it, and had to take a desperation redshirt. Yet you're confident that he can get back to what he was in 2014? Read up on this and lose some of your bias and you'll see a little differently. Morris is great, that's why you should be a little nervous about him leaving the school after this year, since he's a consensus pick to be drafted this year if he wants and may be a 1st rounder, according to people who study these things.

I'm done with you, please stop posting to me

Why dont you stop posting on here in general, ******? You don't know anything about ISU basketball except that it is filtered through your pea-sized squawk brain. Go away.

He's Iowa's most experienced guard off the bench. I'm a fan of both teams. I graduated from Iowa, but I've lived in central Iowa for so long and my wife is an ISU grad, so I enjoy watching the Clones as well. I've read this board for a while and it seems like your hate and spite for Iowa sometimes clouds your perception of reality. You're also the poster that said something along the lines of "No way Jok can double his scoring output from last year" before the season. Maybe if you would step back and take off the cardinal and gold glasses once awhile and look at things subjectively, you might not come off as such an ignoramus.

First, learn to use the quote function. It isn't hard.

Second, you are no ISU fan. So the rest of what you said is garbage. Now, go away.
