Did Fred mess up not taking Peter Jok?

Three made 3's would probably be the difference in winning or losing a game. Matt Thomas plays against tougher competition and shoots better from 3. Right now it's perfectly OK to say he is the better 3 pt shooter

You're right. I concede that Matt Thomas is far and away a better shooter based on percentages that could easily flip-flop on any given night.

Nice!

Weather was awful and we were playing an awful team. We're a football school after all, but I'm sure our ticket revenue from basketball will still dwarf ISU's, isn't that a *****???

Ummm no it was not. Not at all actually

Jok is a nice scorer, that is pretty one-dimensional as a scorer. He cannot create his own shot and he can struggle shooting against pressure defense. He would be a nice go to guy off of the Cyclone fastbreak or a good drive and dish player that Monte would find on a regular basis.

Haha Iowa has a dream season and will more than likely be a 2-3 seed. Hawk bball fans coming out of the woodwork. Iowa State starts the year with a new coach, loses their best shooter and senior leader in Naz Long and are having what many are referring to as a disappointing year and will likely be a 3-4 seed. That's the difference in the two programs pretty much right there.

LOL, you and I know that this is the best ISU team that will be seen in a long, long time... But tell yourself what you want to hear. Who knows if Naz will ever be 100% healthy again and Morris is projected to be a 1st rounder by some experts, I'd be careful if I were you.

You'd think, but Minnesota has been playing everybody close lately so I actually expected that last night. We pummel****ed Penn St already so I'm expecting the confidence to be through the roof when our guys head over there this week.

Are you Travis Justice? Or do you just watch as little CBB as he does? Heard this exact same drivel this morning.

It was nice of you and the other 8,000 fans there to show up. Iowa fans do know they are ranked in the Top 5, right?

I mean there's no reason to come at me for this, as I was at the game (Section, B, Row 27)

The stadium was pretty packed except for the horrendous showing by the student section. I'll admit to anybody that our student section is a joke.

I didn't "come at you for this", I complemented you.

Somebody is in tears. Don't say anything that will get you banned. This thread isn't on the rivalry board yet.

This is surprisingly really accurate

Remember that time you were banned for trolling and graciously allowed to come back under this username? I'd keep that in mind, Twilight.

Oh, were you in Iowa City last night? We should've met up, I'd love to meet you

I was actually in CR until 7pm last night so I didn't even get to watch the barn burner in Carver. I was almost tempted to listen to it on the way home but I can only imagine how bad Dolph is at calling a basketball game.

You aren't serious in warning ISU fans about next year, are you? You do know who iowa loses and who they have coming back, right?

Good luck trying to stop Burton next year.

Yet again when ISU/ia meet, ISU will still have the best player on the floor. Maybe even the top 3 players if Morris stays.

Burton is going to be a force, although I think he plays out of control in a way similar to Nader. It's great if he's hot, but a double-edged sword when he forces the issue. I think that Morris will be on the fence about coming back or not next year, and that will make or break whether or not ISU can be a top-25 team.

I agree with this. I think ISU is a lock top 25 team next year if Morris is back. Malou is going to be really good I think plus I'm sure the staff has an idea of who they can get for another big. If Morris leaves I think ISU will be on the right side of the bubble but won't be a top 25 team

Ha maybe you missed the 2000 and 2001 years where we won back-to-back Big 12 titles and earned a 2 seed both years. Maybe you also missed the past two years we earned 3 seeds. We've had four extremely comparable teams in the past 15-16 years. I think you are confusing Iowa basketball with ISU.

Said it many times I think we have the chance to be better next year if Morris comes back (which I think he does). Morris Long Thomas all senior backcourt. Bohannon and Ellingson will be right there on the same level : )

They lost 82-58 to Northwestern on Feb 4th. Northwestern

And Kansas got blown out by an OK State team with home losses to Missouri State, George Mason and Tulsa, plus a road loss to TCU (not to mention a 2-point home win against Minnesota). Bad nights happen, and Iowa was certainly due for a game where they play down to their competition.
