Of course, that was never the point of the discussion, at least mine, which was that college basketball has taken a serious talent hit, quality and viewers as well because they leave early.
College players have always been allowed to leave early, the only difference is they are now REQUIRED to play one year of college basketball if they don't want to go overseas.
If the Anthony Davis and Karl Anthony Townes of the world were in High School in 2003 they wouldn't have touched an NCAA Court. The biggest problem with the One and Done is that it now tells a player that can clearly play minutes in the NBA that they can't.
Go to the draft or be required to play AT LEAST 2 years of College Basketball. It would clean things up. ALOT.

So much more $ in going pro, even in Europe, than there was 20 years ago. The "easy" solution? Pay college athletes.
Oddly enough, I believe this will happen before any of the other proposed solutions.
B12 just lost two of its top potential returnees in Seldon and Williams. Conference is going to be way, way down. Hopefully Isaiah Taylor is gone. If so, the best returning players are...Morris at ISU, Graham and Bragg at KU, James at OU? Monte Morris has a legit shot to be preseason POY.
Would expect Monte to test without an agent. He'd be pretty silly not to take a look see, at a minimum.

If Underwood was smart, he'd try to convince Evans and Forte to stay, and change his style a little to fit their ability, then recruit for his style in future years. If they could find a immediately eligible big guy, they'd be tournament good next year.
Your point was that players leaving early results in there being no good teams made up of primarily juniors and seniors. And as AdamJGray pointed out, there ARE plenty of teams in the sport NOW (not just back in 1976) that are good teams made up of primarily juniors and seniors. He was pointing out that you were wrong, not making your point.
Agreed. Always good to get feedback directly from the NBA scouts to see what you need to work on. Some people don't really believe it until they hear it directly from the source.

What NBA rule? I am aware of no NBA rule that forced him to hire an agent and end his college career.
