Deuce Vaughn to the NFL ...

Don’t know what you want me to say. I said I thought he’d make a roster. The nfl draft is driven by measurables more than actual film. See Brock Purdy and Allen Lazard. Those guys were completely underestimated by the scouts. I think Vaughn might be too. That’s all.
And to further explain with an example, let’s look at skyler Thompson vs Purdy. Purdy had a better college career. I don’t think that’s very debatable. Thompson had the nfl prototype measurables that Purdy didn’t and got drafted higher. It’s no surprise to anyone here that Purdy is the better pro qb. We saw what they both did in college and figured him being a gamer would translate better than the scouts believed despite small stature and not the strongest arm.

He and Bijan are two of the most underwhelming, overhyped RBs I can recall in Big 12 history.

He’ll certainly be a top half of the league practice squad RB.
Agree, both are far more hyped than they are currently performing, in my opinion - which doesn't mean ****.

With that said, I think Bijan's game translates pretty well to the NFL and he has a good chance of making it there.

Vaughn on the other hand, reminds me of a less dynamic and less powerful Sproles. I could be wrong, but I don't think he'll have a good career.

His worse games are against teams with half decent defensive lines and/or linebackers and most of those he's faced are nothing compared to what he'll face every game in the league. You can see it just in how he's used today. Despite nearly 300 touches and 1,500 yards, he only has 9 TDs. He can't be used in the redzone in college and every play is going to be harder in the league. He averages 1.1 ypc inside the 10 and 2.1 ypc inside the 20.

Yay, you had your first good year in a while, woohoo. You still have to turn off the tv and see a purple kitten on your wall at bedtime.

And...
