Des Moines Hotels

Casa Bella Adult Motel on SE 14th----hourly rates!

If lysol isn't your thing though....Suites of 800 Locust is the best hotel in town.

Does anyone know about the Sheraton West Des Moines just off I-80 and University? We have a wedding to attend this weekend and the on-line rates are pretty good ($69).

We really like the Embassey Suites in DM. Great atmosphere. FREE Happy Hour, (all you can drink) and FREE made to order breakfast (omelets, buffet, etc)

Wow I should just stay there on the weekends. Sounds like it would be cheaper.. drinks and breakfast!

I believe this used to be the Holiday Inn at 50th and University. It used to have a Damons in it but management sucked and it went under.. It is a very nice hotel with a nice courtyard like lobby. I would pay $69/night in a heartbeat. Lots of good restaurants close by also.

I was planning on spending a "special" night in Des Moines with the lady in the next month. I was looking for suggestions on what would be the a good, classy hotel to stay at.

Thanks for the input.

The West Des Moines Marriott on Jordan Creek pkwy is very nice also...we have done a couple of special night getaways there. Plus the new Jordan Creek Mall area has some nice places to eat. I usually can get this hotel on Sat nights for about $52/night on priceline also.

The Stoney Creek Inn just off 80/35 and 86th has some really sweet rooms in their Cottage Building. These rooms have a bar, a whirlpool, and a fireplace. Very cozy and makes you forget where you're at when you are in the room.

In the suburbs there is a nice place right near Living History Farms. Can't remember what it's called but it's got a conference center and some package deals with their rooms where you can get extra services and stuff I believe.

Thanks! I'll book it for the weekend. Can't beat the price. Priceline had the instant price at $149.

If anyone wants a cheap weekend getaway you can get the Country Inn and Suites through priceline for around $32/night. It is a nice hotel with a large pool and hot tub. We also got free breakfast. It is right behind El Rodeo off of University and I35/80 so you can walk over and drink all the margaritas you want.
