Looking for non-Keg Stand options to watch Cyclones.tv games in the Des Moines area. Seems like everyone has dropped Mediacom at this point, so I don't have any idea where to watch the game tonight.

Benchwarmers in ankeny does

The OP in Clive. I watched the Oakland game there while in town. Huge drop down screen came down for the game and the sound was on which was a plus.

Founder's Irish Pup out in Bondurant has it

One bar I plan to avoid in the future for games on Cyclones.tv is Keg Stand. I love the Keg Stand, have watched more games there than I can remember, but I stopped by to watch the Oakland game, which was on Cyclones.tv, and they had it on one crappy projection screen in the main bar area, and that's it. There were probably six or eight groups of people like me and my buddy who were standing around since all the seats were full and the game wasn't on any other TVs throughout the bar, so we sucked down one beer and left.

They obviously don't have mediacom and didn't bother to put the game up on other TVs, which I thought was disappointing for what is probably the biggest Cyclone bar in town. I'll be back to Keg Stand for sure, but not when the game is on Cyclones.tv.

You can sign up for cyclones.tv for only $10 for a month. That would cover the rest of the non-con games that will be on there.

The Filling Station (off of 63rd & Grand) will have the game on I'm sure. They have Mediacom as well as DirecTV.

Did you ask the good folks at the Keg Stand to put it on any other TVs?

I suppose I did not. It would have been a dumb request, though, like asking someone at McDonalds for the ribeye and lobster tail dinner with a side of shrimp scampi, there was obviously no way they would have been able to comply.

Obviously?

How is it obvious when you didn't even ask and just up and left?

Also the comparison of asking a sports bar employee to change a TV channel to asking a fast food employee for 5 star food that obviously wouldn't be on their menu isn't a very good one.

Try Ducktails..I believe that they have it

He is correct. They only have cyclones.TV hooked up to the projector at keg stand. The other TVs are only setup for DirecTV feed.

i was in town on this day and did the same. Do you know if that was mediacom cable, or the online stream up on the screen? the quality wasnt crisp, but i dont know if that was the internet, the cable, or the projector.

I could have described the scene a little better I suppose, but it was obvious they only had one TV in the entire place that was able to show Cyclones.tv. They were as able to change the channel to Cyclones.tv as a fast food employee would be to deliver 5 star food - not able, even if they wanted to.

No big deal, like I said, I'll be back to Keg Stand, but not for games on cyclones.tv.
