Depth chart for Saturday

Impressive to have 8.5 sacks & not even start. I guess I get it if he's brought in to specifically do that, but damn.

For an end, he still seems to be on the lighter side, and as a sophomore, he still has time to gain some weight/muscle. But at 230, he may get pushed around more then we would like on running situations. I haven't specifically focused on his play, but this is what I would assume the reason why he isn't starting. Plus, you have great senior ahead of him.

I would not believe that depth chart for a second. Pretty much zero chance Downing plays and there is no chance on Jackson.

I've said it a hundred times, and I'll say it again -- coaches do not give one **** about published depth charts.

Is Jackson still injured or is something else going on? He has shown a lot of talent.

It’s a rotation, Bailey and Enyi “start” but I would guess McDonald plays just as many snaps at DE as those guys. Peterson sees a bunch of snaps as well. When you rotate as much as our DL does starting isn’t that big of a deal.

New depth chart!

Soehner is listed at the "F" spot. I think he is still a little banged up but he is listed as a starter, as is Milton. We are gonna need those two. Looks like Downing and Daniel Jackson will also be available.
The last few weeks, they’ve just been publishing the same depth chart week after week. The last change was when they switched the sides the two starting guards were on—and the very next week that was wrong.

Reminds me a lot of Reggie Haywood. I think he started more in the 230 range at ISU and was 250ish when he graduated and added a bit more weight in the pros. He was stronger as a junior and senior as he wasn't abused as much on the run with more size.

I assume Soehner is playing. He was playing on the bad ankle in the Texas game. If it is just a sprained ankle, I would expect to see him.
