From the tape that I have watched from both Salters and Gaines, Gaines get better separation from the defender when running routes and is better at shaking them when he has the ball. This will be important since college CB's are much tougher to lose than a kid in high school.

I agree that we still need help on D, primarily in the front 7, but I just don't see how we can turn down this kid if he wants to be a Cyclone.

he's 5'7" and 160 pounds. He already have too many of these little slot-type guys. We need DL and bigger CBs.
