just an observation but if scotty has to constantly guard the other teams point guard we are in trouble. i love scotty shooting the ball but as a defense player he is a liability. how many times did he get beat to the basket tonight .

also if we want to go anywhere like everyone wants we had better work on free throws with the talent this team has we should shoot at least 70 percent as a team not 50 percent

offense== i felt that we hardly run any offense we had guys jacking up 3 pointers from a stand still and not in the flow. hopefully this will let it sink in that no matter how much talent you have on the floor the team that plays better together will win 90 percent of the time

How about the guys keep switching on defense and getting confused who they got. how bout the guards playing d on drakes post players....dumb

Can't be switching on every play. Drake played that horribly - the post should have put up 30 with Scotty guarding but he always passed out of it.

Overall defense was much better tonight than it has been the past 2 games. We ran into a lot of problems with switches. Scotty got caught in the paint against a forward, and was repeatably abused.

All in all, I think we played well enough on defense, it was our offense and free throw shooting that killed us tonight.

Drake shot 59% in the second half. Not going to win any B12 games with that.

Our defense was nightmarish. Scotty was abused all night long -- on the perimeter and down low.

I love Fred, but Phelps worked him over tonight. Our guys were just lost. Booker looks like he's already thinking about quitting and I don't blame him. 8 minutes?

Ummmm, I don't disagree with the bad offense/free throw shooting, but our D was equally bad. That was Drake, not Kansas. Scotty was abused. We got caught in our rotations several times with horrible mismatches and they just kept going back to the well.

That is on coaching, IMO. The offensive problems stem from a lack of PG, but our D tonight was on Fred.

No doubt about that he was the best assistant we could ever have. We still have a good staff though.

GREAT recruiting staff. And I have no doubt they will come up with some good game plans. What I have yet to see is in-game adjustments. I know we're only 2 games deep, and that is far from sufficient to draw a conclusion, but these are my thoughts at the moment.

Our offense was much worse than our defense which was a liability. The defense gave us enough chances but thenm we frittered them away at the free throw line.

We looked like everyone took turns flipping the ball at the basket without much of a plan.

really wish that royce didn't feel the need to switch players every time a screen is set or someone runs by him
