Dave Armstrong called it...

I was listening to local sports talk radio here in KC this morning and they brought on sports broadcaster, Dave Armstrong to talk all about the upcoming tournament this week. Many great points were made including that Texas has to win atleast 1 and maybe 2 games in order to make it into the tourney, Baylor will probably beat WVU again since they did so easily the first two times, etc.

Then they asked him to make his prediction on who would most likely win it all and he said, that with Kansas being banged up and eligibility issues with Alexander, that he hands down would pick Iowa State to win the entire thing. It seemed like the other two guys agreed with him.

Between those nods and playing for JP this week, I'm thinking we have a damn good chance to bring another one home from Hilton South.

Iowa State seems to be the trendy pick, so we will naturally lose.

An Iowa State-Oklahoma semifinal on Friday could be an amazing game.
 
Now that Dave Armstrong said that I predict we lose to tech in the quarterfinals.

That's what I like to hear. I don't want to hear any of that lose in the quarterfinals nonsense. Been looking forward to this week for months. Bring on the Saturday game

Doug Gottlieb even picked us over the noon hour on 810WHB, I feel we are doomed now.
 
There was a guy last Thursday on SVP& Russilo that picked ISU as well. He said ISU needed it to stay on the 3/4 line. I thought that last part was off.
 
Off-topic, but as a kid it was special listening to guys like Dave Armstrong, Jon Sunvold, Fred White (RIP), Paul Splittorff call the B12 tournament. Hearing those guys still gets me in March Madness mode. Gary Thompson covering ISU games back then was a treat.
