Darlinstone Dubar

Yeah, Im a troll because I expect better results than 13-23 with "his guys" and 2 games under .500 in the Big 12 so far with all these top recruits and Hoibergs players.

Nice to know you expect mediocrity.

If you can't look at that season and understand why we were 13-23 I don't know what to tell you other than that you are a moron.

yes. No one needed to see Brady Ernst or Simeon Carter play a full 18 game conference schedule to know they weren’t capable big 12 big men.

same for Anderson.

And he isn't even "big". He's a 6'7" tweener lacking strength and athleticism. He can shoot some but I don't know what value he'd bring.

Just don't get Prohm's strategy. If there is one

Sorry, I don’t believe over half of the Top15 best basketball recruits in ISU history were signed in the last 5 years. If so we should have very very high expectations for this season. And the last one. And the one before that. And next season, give our team is stocked with the best talent in program history.

You gotta put recruiting rankings in context. What site is this? How far back do their rankings go? Do they include JCs? Transfer players?
JCs yes Transfers no.

Still a fact and Prohm is responsible for putting a team together each year. He failed that year. And he was really bailed out by Long getting an extra year and Monte staying. If those two things don't happen, he likely would not be coaching here.

he was a top 25 recruit on Rivals until this June or July.

Naz being around as a super-senior lowered the ceiling of the team the year before that, too. If the minutes going to Jordan Ashton and Hallice Cooke are going to Naz Mitrou-Long, we probably win at least a few more games that season.

what the hell are you talking about? If you think Probm has recruited 8 of the top 15 players that have ever come to ISU... well, you haven’t watched much ISU basketball.

why would you try to change the subject from what was being discussed?

You could be 100% correct, but I'd still be opposed to putting it on a public message board. Just one man's opinion.

i never understand this mindset.

because I’m not bringing good news it’s faux pas to post?

If i was posting how good he’s looking I’d be showered with Likes and Informatives. But because i post he’s not a capable big men im a jerk?

Claiming 8 of the 15best recruits is a very selective use of specific recruit ranking services and ignoring JC and transfer players. It doesn’t pass the smell test for long time ISU basketball fans.
You’re probably correct, but it’s pragmatically the only way. But arguing about recruiting in regards to an assessment of how well a coach is doing is selective in itself.

of course. Especially if the original statement contradicts your agenda. I’d think you would not want to associate your position with Jeremy, but you do you.

Nope, posting it does not make you a jerk. No need to go there.

Was just coming over to post this. Just ignore my posts everyone lol. Thought this kid could ball tho.
He can ball. There's being able to ball, then there's being able to ball well enough to contribute at a P5 school. Clayton Custer can clearly ball, but he wouldn't have been able to do what he did at Loyala-Chicago in the Big 12.
