Darlinstone Dubar

Does anyone really believe that we would take this guy over Foster?

Have some faith in the coaching staff. They aren't that dumb.

I don't think so. Foster is the post target of this Class and Prohm has been clear he has an offer. Dubar is a 6"4" shooting guard, I don't see them as linked, if he was a center then there could be discussion.

Totally agree the staff has a plan here and have been looking at adding a guard as shown by the Terry interest. I suspect Dubar is looking as a spring commit (Terry too) and the staff is building the relationship, to be in position if players leave in April. If he were to commit there would be some intrigue but more on the perimeter players than how it affects Foster in my mind.

I, for one, can already see us chanting his name at Hilton. Dar-Lin-Stone Du-Bar. Just rolls off the tongue.

In all honesty, I imagine the kid is due for a bump with those kind of offers. If he truly holds offers from Maryland, Auburn, etc., he will wind up top 150.

Should play baseball. That chant would go well when the Yankee fans chant each Yank players name in the 1st until they wave or tip a cap or something.

Somebody should update the thread title and say this is a 2020 recruit because I ignored it figuring it was some animated TV show the dorks are stanning.

If he wants to commit, we will take him. IMO totally different position than Foster so that has no bearing. Prohm is smart enough to know he’ll probably lose one guy to the NBA early, and has at least 1-2 guys that aren’t P5 level players (every team has a couple).

In this business you don’t pass up good players.

IMO Prohm realizes he's struggled a bit with the "emergency" signees in the past and is trying to overstock on talented players. You're right; you absolutely do not pass up good players if you can get them.

Bain is a hok turn who wishes nothing more than Foster to go to Iowa. His recruiting coverage for instate schools was great to begin with but over the last 6 months or so his articles have became trash. He put out 2 separate articles for ISU and Iowa recruiting that were 99% word for word the same only swapping Hawkeyes or Iowa for Cyclones or Iowa State and vice versa. How long were his ISU "recruiting big boards" saying Suggs, Dante, and Carlson were at the top and ISU was still in on them hard when everyone else in the recruiting world (247, Rivals, and CF) were saying ISU was out on them? The guys coverage has become subpar at best.
