Darlinstone Dubar

The best basketball name has to be Fonda Dicks, she was an all state player from Moravia in the 70s. For years I was sure my grandfather made this up but it's true.
We had a CC transfer Darcie Diick briefly on the WBB roster not too long ago. She seemed to be an okay kid, but her helicopter Dad turned out to be Mr. ****.

Not sure who of the 4 I'm most excited for in this class. Rankings be damned when it comes to Jeff Prohm.
I know there isn't much out there on him but after watching Jaden Walker's video (like 10 times since he committed), I can hardly wait to see him on the court. We hit a homerun with a long, lanky guard recently.. I think the staff did it again with Walker.

I can’t pick on anyone for having a unique name as my name very distinctive.

However, My initial thought after reading this thread was “OMG we signed a future Harlem Globetrotter!”
All I know is when people call my name, my head will be the only one which turns. Sorry, "Johns", "Toms", "Daves" or "Bills" (and a multitude of others) ;)

I don't claim to be an expert on any of these guys or be able to project out their effectiveness. But I'm excited that the staff brought in what experts regard as a good class. Lengthy wings that can defend, run and shoot are not a bad way to build a program.

But Darlinstone, Xavier, Jaden and Dudley could be top of the Big 12 in awesome names. #strongnamegame

@zsmart13 Darlinstone Dubar @___dstone exemplified what makes him such a lethal scorer. Attacks at will, can stick the 3 w/consistency, gets in for putbacks and can get into the teeth of the defense off the dribble and finish. Has a hand in everything. Iowa State getting a player

I like to read it this way...and can pull the teeth of the defense.

Dubar best roll maybe a 3-D wing but scoring 27 I’m guessing there even a bit more to his offensive game. Plus it is against top competition instead of normal HS players.

Don’t forget Johnson, too. This class complements what we brought in with Grill, Jackson, and Bolton.

That sounds like maybe being a 3 and D guy is more of his floor? If he continues to add to his ability to score off the dribble, he may be more Shayok than Hogue/Babb.
