Just finished my Relisten of "Ghost of the Ostfront" I just cannot help but thinking that Adolf Hitler is the biggest Son of ***** in the history of the planet.

If you've listened to the Brink of Armageddon, Carlin mentions how if Gavrilo Princip didn't stop for a sandwich the war might not have happened. Just right place right time (and it took a goofy-ass post parade route by Ferdinand's driver). Carlin even went as far to say that Princip could be one of the most important figures of the whole 20th century.

I thought this was going to be an update on his next history podcast.
Yeah I'm not saying he's coming out of left field, it just never dawned on me until he said it. You can really make a case for it.
Definitely. The World Wars shaped today's world more than maybe anything else, and they don't happen without the fuse getting lit.
One could argue that Europe was still a "powder keg."

I also enjoyed hearing Carlin talk about how eerily similar the JFK assassination was to this.
He gave a bit of an update that wasn't really an update in his latest Common Sense podcast from last Monday. Basically said that he ran in to trouble with his topic and is going to a plan b topic but wants to make sure he does a good job with it. Has something else in the works that is slowing him down and that they are working on it and appreciate our patience.
Made my day when I saw a new Hardcore History pop up on my phone.
I'll save it for harvest probably, but looking forward to this one a lot.
Getting around time for a new one to come out. He was on Rogen a couple weeks and had some good stuff. I need a new Hardcore History in my Life.
I’m hoping for either a crazy one off like the one about the crazy religious people. Or a series on the most recent Balkan war (unlikely).
Dan has stated that he doesn't like doing "recent" events. About how you need time to view things.
Ya that is wishful thinking on that from me it just seems like one of those things that is a tangled web that he likes to take on .
A US Civil War series would also be epic from Carlin.
