Cyclones in the pros 2023-2024 (hoops)

Georges had a disappointing 19-point drop from his last game against the Bucks, as Milwaukee snapped Cleveland's 8-game winning streak.

The Minivan shot it well though - 5-7 / 2-3 / 2-2 for 14 points. I can't say if it's a coincidence. but the Cavs' resurgence in January lines up directly with Georges' increased production; he's averaging around 13 ppg in his last 10 games.

Giannis being back probably shut down some of Georges’ old man game he displayed last time.

Really happy Monte is back!

I don’t know why, but I think I pull hardest for Monte of any clone in the league.

He's a throwback to 20-30 years ago, before the era of 'length', spreading the court, and 30 foot three pointers as the norm.

He may be the peak of what is achievable without elite athleticism and size (is he really even 6'2")?

He's an elite lunch pail and culture guy.

Who doesn't love a guy like that?

I haven't seen any rumors, but I was hoping Monte might get flipped to a contender who needs a backup PG once he's back healthy. That Pistons team is really really bad

Yeah, who knows - I think he's a free agent after this year, so I'm basically chalking this up as a lost year for him.

Free agency should give him a chance to pick a good situation and I imagine he will have good options.

This is some funny Georges content (abt 9 mins) that I stumbled on (I was looking to see if there were clips of him against Joe Ingles). This youtuber challenges pros at their sports so Georges is in a 3-point shooting contest with him. It's in Vegas and it shows that Georges can just roll out of bed and shoot. Pretty funny banter (except the dude not knowing the difference between Ohio State and ISU):

Tyrese was officially named a starter for the All Star game!

It looks like he’s going to be close to the ‘65 games played’ cutoff for All NBA as well - if he makes it that nets him like an extra $50 million over his next contract due to incentives. If he loses out on that bonus due to 1-2 games where he’s sitting out injured…. That would suck.
