Cyclone Squad 17 Cyning Day Thread

Any one else see OJ Tucker's reason for picking Iowa State? It says "they have a plan to help me after college." Not exactly sure in what way they are helping him, but its pretty cool that you don't stop being a part of the cyclone family the second you graduate.

I take that as the coaching staff talked to him about how important his education is as well as football.

Still waiting on Tongamoa signing, and Bailey. Those are the two guys that I'm most worried about... Bailey has a chance to be special off the edge.... Be our Von Miller....

IDK - just a hunch... hes a highly rated DE prospect from within the 500 mile area, i just think this would be the WOW factor like the Bailey Bros were last year....

Might not be either, just a guess, no insider info or sources....
Most reports say he's not going to qualify which is the reason for the low interest from teams.

If campbell can bring this class in after a 3 win season imagine what he can bring in after a 6+ win season. Iowa State football is finally trending in the right direction.

I am just as excited as the next guy but a new coach can sell change and a new beginning to recruits. The results on the field need to start sooner rather than later otherwise that recruiting message can wear thin rather quickly.

Time will tell but it's a damn good start, no doubt.

This coming season team has a legit shot at getting to a bowl game...especially with the grad transfer additions on the Oline and keeping the 2 Juco DL. However 2018 will be the break out year IMO. This team will return nearly every O and D lineman from 2017 in 2018 not to mention like 85% of the 2 deep or more...I cant recall..ever..in my 30+ years of following ISu football where that has happened. Add to that basically back to back Top 50 recruiting classes in the first two years and I have no doubt that this football program will reach heights it has not reached and sooner rather than later.

No doubt about it.
