Cyclone in jail

I am not upset he did it. We all did that in college and this isn't a DUI or Public Intox. I am upset he was stupid enough to get caught/ someone was enough of an ******* to tell the cops who gave them beer. This doesnt impact my opinion of him at all.

Yea lets just forget about laws

not to derail the thread but how did a guy get poss of alcohol under legal age if he is 22?

I've often wondered if Ames/Story county law enforcement put out bounties for ISU athletes like they were trophies, aka, NFL bouties, NA - Does anyone know if he was issued just a ticket or was there some type of altercation. Certainly the officer wouldn't of made any antagonistic comments knowing he was an ISU player. NA -

Sheww, thought it was another crime. I know you should buy for minor but if this is the extent of criminal problems our team has, Im ok with it. No ivory towers here.

Edit: woops, freudian slip there.

I'd like to think the athletes are smarter but hey. Now cue the person who says "all kinds of people do that every weekend in Ames!" And guess what? Those people aren't scholarship athletes. Athletes should be and are held to a higher standard.

This can happen in many ways. If a party was at his residence, he bought the keg, and the cops showed up and ID'ed a minor with beer, then can charge him with providing to minor's. Glad when I bought kegs for underage friends, there was no keg registration.

This is completely a hypothetical.

I was listening to AA the other day and he was asked what do you do during a bye week and the first thing out of his mouth was "Don't get arrested".

Way to go Bundrage you *******.

Yes he broke the law. But this is a very minor thing. When a guy commits rape or robbery, which our athletes have done, I am one of the first to call for the hammer to come down. But this is just stupid college kid stuff. He will pay the fine, sit out a game or two, and move on with life.
