In all my years in Florida I've never heard a UCF fan talk about UConn. USF and the war on I4 however.... ISU isnt suddenly replacing that bad blood.

That was my bad joke on the “rivalry.” UConn tried to start one and made a trophy but UCF wouldn’t take the trophy after it was created and mysteriously the trophy disappeared. I was trying to make the point that you can’t manufacture a rivalry and especially one where the schools are distant geographically.

Fans are the same all over. I have a friend that attended the game this year in Ames and he said his young son got a beer thrown on him before they even got to their seats. The other fans are always the worst in the world and unbearable. I once went to a game at Iowa for a State game and as we left a State fan turned around and decked a fan in front of us and took of running. Don't think anything was said but not sure. We just started laughing and shaking our head.

It sucks losing to Iowa and I hate them with a passion but it's a great rivalry and I would hate to lose this game.
