Custer's Game

I guess the natural comparison would be Jacy Holloway. Kansas kids similar in size. Jacy led the Big 12 in assists one year and of course has the last Big 8 title. He was a key piece of those Floyd teams. I'd say Custer has a higher ceiling and looks to be a better shooter. He has a nice stroke and gets his shot off fast. Plays within the offense very well even though he's the "star".

Never seen the kid play but I feel confident saying this may be the worst comparison in the history of this board. Holloway refused to shoot to the point where defenses sagged off him 6-8 feet. Just saying if you could look at a kid and say he reminds me of Holloway, Fred wouldn't of recruited him.

If we can get a guy like Mike Gesell, I would take it. He is a good player and cc is cut from the same cloth.

Exactly. Gesell is a good, solid starting point guard for an NCAA Tourney team. Those highlights remind me of Gesell in high school.

Kid looks like the reincarnation of Bobby Hurley...and will look great working with Rashad Vaugn, Monte Morris, Matt Thomas and a whole lot of other talented fellows. The future is very bright.

I've seen him play four games in person. You've never seen him play. You have no clue, obviously, what you're talking about. Custer is a pass-first point guard. He can also score if needed. He's at his best running the offense and getting his teammates open looks. Holloway was his team's 2nd leading 3pt scorer behind Willoughby. He shot 40% from 3pt. And he led the Big 12 in assists his senior year. If you're expecting some scoring machine, that's not his game.

Can he throw sick lobs to Cato? Holloway could throw sick lobs to Cato.

If Roy was at UNC back then and got Hinrich running up and down with those guys, that would have been scary. Hinrich was Derrick Rose/Ty Lawson fast with the ball back in college
