With 1 month gone in the season Cubs fans are you worried about the cubs or not? What is it that has you most worried?

Someone needs to tell DLee that little Mike Fontenot is going to finish the season with 20 more HRs.

This is nothing against the cubs...this is the same as the yankees and any other team that ESPN deems the best. Fans expectations get over inflated because they are told continuously that their team is the best team ever...that this is the year...

I think that the cubs will come around, and I hope they do. I hated it when the NL central was referred to as a soft division.

NL Central is frequently crapped upon but they often get the wildcard at the end of the season.

Our bullpen has been terrible... our big hitters not named Soriano (Lee, Ramirez, Bradley) have been probably worse than our bullpen. It's interesting to see our early season resolve. It's like we don't even have any fight in us... almost like we expected to be the best. Lou has some work to do... We have the pieces... just needs to put together the puzzle... maybe one or two pieces are on the outside of our bullpen, but we'll get those as the season prgoresses

I'm not going to start worrying until we get completely healthy. I don't think people realize we were 8 games back in 2007 and still won the division. Its still way too early to worry.

Ramirez has been alright, he just has to stay healthy.

I think Bradley is coming around.

I'm very worried about Lee/Soto. Lee isn't "slumping" anymore, this is turning into the norm for him. No clutch hits, tons of double plays, warning track power, etc. And when he DOES hit HRs, they're almost always solos. I think close to 95% of his HRs last year were solo shots.

If someone can explain to me why Hoffpauir hasn't supplanted him yet, I'd love to hear it.

I do think it's funny all the guys that were RIPPING Fukudome before the season and he's having a great year so far.

There is plenty of season left.....We all know that the teams ahead of the cubs get run down . The Cardinals have young pitchers, Cincinnati will falter, Pittsburgh will be htere a little longer, Brewers we would need to stay in close with

You haven't been watching if you think Ramirez has been bad this year.

Problem is that they cant afford to wait for that to happen, they rely on the other teams to come back to them.......get out of the gates and go!! I think the Cubs will be like the Red Sox, get the 100yrs without a world series out of the way and they will be a contender year in and year out!

Unfortunately Lou like playing veterans over the less experienced. It stinks because DLee is very respected and I think that they will let him stay in way too long. I am not sure how many years he has on his bloated contract, but it would be great if we could get something in trade for him.

Fukudome was equally as impressive last April and got worse each month of the season. So I think Cub fans want to see what he will do for the next month or so.

I'm not worried quite yet, just disappointed. Gregg has been a disaster so far...and Marmol hasn't been good either. I'm not even going to talk about Neal Cotts...

What I don't understand is how they score 10 runs one game, 0 or 1 the next, and then score 10 again the next. There has been zero consistency with the offense.

I would love to trade Hoffpauir while his stock is at an all time high. There is a reason why he is a career minor leaguer. He had his breakout year at the age of 27. Hoffpauir is good at what he is doing now. Filling in for RF and 1B when Bradley and Lee are hurt. When he starts for a long period of time, people will realize why he doesn't start.

I agree about D Lee. What happened to this guy? It was just a couple of short years ago that people were debating if he would be able to win the triple crown. Now he is like the 5th best hitter on his own team. His lack of power is amazing.

WTF Lou!! Fontenot hits 3 HRs in 4 games and he's batting EIGHTH today?!
