Crowd is way too quiet

Just got back from the game... no student section absolutely kills hilton.. it's pretty sad when u are in a big 12 game and players and coaches have to continuously raise their hands up and down to get the crowd going. The students ignite everyone, especially on defense.

Prohm was doing that quite often when we were up 8, 10 points.

Jameel does it every game, even when the students are there.

No, Iowa State did. All they had to do way buy $5 tickets. I did that every year I was a student when there was a conference game during break.

I believe their student section was still full of students. I could be wrong though. Their crowd was great (for a #1 vs. #2 matchup on a Monday night, which is hard to compare to #13 vs. unranked on an afternoon, but still great).

They do just like us, then any student tickets that go unsold go to the general public.

Big Monday for 1 vs 2 compared to Baylor at 2 on a Saturday. Not the best comparison

If a basketball team is relying on the crowd to inspire them to play defense, or just focus on playing smart basketball, things are not good.

If this team needs a crowd to beat an un-ranked Baylor team that had not won on the road all year, in Hilton......they don't deserve to be playing on a Division I, P5 team.

The difference between the crowds of today compared to the ones of the Johnny Orr days is back then the crowd brought the team up and got them going and now the crowd won't get going until the team does something. So it is a momentum thing. But sadly, the type of crowds from the Orr days are gone forever. Younger people were in the arena circle, now it is more of a corporate element.

I'm still hoarse. Crowd isn't going to get into the game when we're getting beat down the court by the Bears. Energy feeds energy.

There won't be a student section in Kansas City, and NCAA tournament site, or any away game.

By the end of the game, I was standing in the middle of the aisle jumping up and down weaving arms.

Every time the crowd started getting into the game, Baylor would make a play.
