Cris Love Passed Away

I was about to report that he passed away this morning. Too bad, he seemed like a nice guy. Way too young to die.
 
It must of been a fast moving cancer, I was thinking his cancer was manageable.. Terrible news.

I hung out with Chris on the sideline of the ISU vs. Texas A@M game.. We celebrated every TD on that day.. Lane was also there.. What a sad day.. He seemed to be a very nice person and I will remember celebrating with him that day..

I had the opportunity to work with Chris. He truely is a great young man. May God Bless Chris and his family. This is a really sad, sad day for Cyclone athletics.



Maybe this will put a reality check some of you who are ******** and moaning about radio coverage, scholarships losses, Iowa, etc. It is just a game that is meant for entertainment purposes.
 
When i first heard that I was shocked i thought that his cancer wasnt that life threatning and it could be treated. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family
 
Even though he wasnt a very important part of the football team, i always got the impression that he was a good leader and person. He was a cyclone for 5 seasons and he was always in the 3-deep if i remember correctly. Its probably hard to be on a football team that long and get as little time on the field as he did but that never discouraged him. He was a true cyclone and he will be missed in the Iowa State family. God bless him and his family

Just cause he didnt play dosent mean he wasent important. in 2004 he was their on the sidelines signaling the calls to the offence EVERY game. I had a few classes with him and he was a class act, downright halarious person. i wasent that close to him and am very upset by the news, I cant imagine how his close friends and family must feel tonight.
 
What a huge blow to the cyclone family. I am so impressed the way that he matured and grew from a couple set backs that he had in his career. I had no clue that his cancer got to him so fast. Does anyone know exactly what he had? I hope his family is comforted knowing God is in control. It really makes me step back and remember that sports and sports and there are many deeper things in life...(although I'm sure Cris would agree with me that beating the hawks never hurts;))
