Creekmur offer??

I'm a bit surprised that Iowa hasn't offered him yet. His 6' 7" size and his strong arm make him an ideal candidate for the traditional pro-style offense that they run.

except Veir wasn't a very good QB, probably not even the best one on that team. Creekmur is every bit a pure QB and would do very well in this offense. He has a great arm and can run well enough to be effective.

Agreed. Veir is not a quarterback. He will play TE or DE. I wish Iowa State would have looked at him for DE. Creekmur is purely a QB. You can watch M-town highlights on the Rag's website. Pretty impressive player.
 
My only problems with him are that he's a hawk fan and he's already shown he has no problem decommitting. If we sign him and then the hawks come calling, he's gone.
 
He has been running the "spread" at least since he was in 9th grade. He is very smart, extremely confident, and talented. I say confident, not cocky in a jerk sort of way like a few M-town qb's of old.

Hey, we need to convert as many as we can. Hopefully he has a large family to increase season ticket sales. I really hope the thermometer comes back.
 
I'm thinking possible greyshirt with the option of playing basketball too.
 
Creekmur is a pure QB. No TE and no WR for him. Why do people think a 6'7 QB who is athletic isn't a good fit for this offense? Would we rather have a 6'3 QB who can't see make multiple reads, isn't that accurate but can run??
 
He committed to Iowa and was a top 150 recruit at one point. He saw how horrible they were becoming and that all the players were leaving. He decommited and committed to Santa Clara. Now it appears he has decommitted from SC

The only reason I brought up the possibility of a position change is that until recently, as far as I know, he didn't have any offers as a QB. That makes me think that not a lot of schools want him as a QB.
It may just be that he was flying under the radar and will be a good QB prospect. I just stated that if he doesn't pan out at QB, with his size and athleticism the staff should be able to find some position for him. No slight to his quarterbacking abilities intended.

I don't think you can fault the kid too much for decommiting from the Iowa basketball team after all that has happened over there. If he really wants to play football then decommitting from UC-Santa Clara also makes sense.
As for a Hawk football offer, I am not sure that they will have enough available schollies to offer him this year.
Let's give the kid a chance to commit to ISU before questioning his integrity.
