Crazy bracket stat continues…

Might be the craziest bracket stat to remember for next year.

Every year but one since 2012 there has been a team in the final four that is a 7 seed or worse.

2013: Wichita State (9)
2014: UCONN (7) and Kentucky (8)
2015: Michigan State (7)
2016: Syracuse (10)
2017: South Carolina (7)
2018: Loyola (11)
2019: NONE
2020: COVID
2021: UCLA (11)
2022: North Carolina (8)
2023: Florida Atlantic (9)

Basically...find a power six team that is seeded 7-11 with a coach that has lots of experience that can make a run. FAU, Loyola, and Wichita were the only ones not from a power six to make Final Four.

It's crazy but also even when it's crazy it's not. 7 of the 11 have been deep bracket staples or bluer bloods counting Donovan's Gators

Yup. Find a seasoned coach with tourney experience in a major conference and that’s a good bet.
